How to Implement DAvED Whole House Audio System
Once you’ve brought a DAvED system into your home, you’ll find that setup is extraordinarily easy. As long as your DAvED system components are plugged into electrical outlets anywhere in your home, they will play anything you select, from satellite radio and CDs to downloaded MP3s
Understanding DAvED’s Components
To start, let’s go over some of the basic specs of the DAvED components.
- Marantz ZR6001 AV receiver:
- 7.1 Dolby Digital / DTS receiver
- 90 watts/channel x 7
- Component video switching
- IR emitter/outputs for control of non-Marantz products
- IR code learning function
- Marantz ZC4001 client:
- Portable DAvED client/controller
- Built-in, powered stereo speakers
- Auxiliary input
- Playback status window
- Includes SRS WOW sound technology for virtual surround
Knowing what the components are and what they can do, we can move on to setting up your DAvED multi-room digital audio distribution system.
Getting Started with DAvED
Setting up the DAvED whole-house or multi-room audio system is as easy as plugging your DAvED-enabled components into wall outlets.
Want something a bit more specific? Here it is:
- Connect your source equipment to the ZR6001 AV receiver
- Plug the ZR6001 into the wall outlet
- Plug a ZC4001 client into a wall outlet in another room – and enjoy the music!
Additional Information about DAvED
After you have successfully set up DAvED in your home, it will automatically find the ZR6001 and be ready to play the source you select. And you won’t experience any delay in getting the music from the ZR6001 to your ZC4001 either.
