The DAvED Difference

What is "The DAvED Difference?"

Understanding DAvED begins by understanding how a traditional wireless audio system works.

Wireless music systems use something called “802.11b” technology.  Wireless internet connections (LANs or Local Area Networks) also use this technology to distribute data from a central point (a router, for instance) to wireless-equipped computers in your home.  DAvED does essentially the same thing but there are two differences:

  • DAvED conveys music, not word processing documents, email, or spreadsheets.
  • DAvED uses the electrical wiring already in place rather than a wireless connection.  Thus, it avoids the sometimes problematic interferences that can mar the performance of a wireless system.

Using the ZR6001SP and ZC4001 receiver/”client” combination, DAvED presents a much simpler and more elegant approach to delivering great multi-room audio than you’ll find in a traditional wired or wireless system.
